In 1995, Dr. Melchiore Buscemi founded the North Country Physicians Organization and was elected its first President. This company was in charge of overseeing the interactions between doctors, hospitals, and insurance companies. This group had a crucial role in the development of the local HMO healthcare system. Patients in this remote area of upstate New York were greatly benefited by this. A member of three medical associations for 30 years, his work has been recognized by both the American Urological Society and the American Board of Urology. As a Board-Certified Urologist, he has maintained a long and distinguished career. He has been a clinical educator for many years for medical students, physician assistants, and nurses.
Dr. Buscemi specializes in the treatment of a wide range of urologic disorders. He specializes in the treatment of erectile dysfunction, bladder cancer, erectile dysfunction, hypogonadism, male and female urinary incontinence, Peyronie's disease, prostate cancer, prostatic urology, testicular cancer, urinary stone disease, male infertility, and family planning.
Dr. Buscemi takes a wholistic approach to medicine. It is his belief that a healthy diet and lifestyle can alleviate many common disorders. When all other options have failed, he believes that medication and surgery should be used. For him, the most rewarding part of his job is teaching and helping his patients design treatment regimens tailored to their specific medical issues and concerns.
Dr. Buscemi enjoys cycling, mountaineering, and skiing in his spare time. Tennis, swimming, and cooking are also among his favorite pastimes. In his free time, he enjoys traveling with his family and spending time with his wife and three kids.
